ANNUAL CONCERT – FULL OF HIGHLIGHTS

The choir performed superbly at our Annual Concert before an appreciative audience at the Karralyka Theatre. We received lots of positive comments on our performance, our new outfits, the range of music, and the balance in the program. Guest artists Melbourne Ukulele Collective made a great impression with their quirky style, Dr John Atwell again sparkled on the keyboard and special mention must go to choir member Nadia Migliardi who performed The Nuns Chorus and I Could Have Danced All Night. Nadia was simply superb as our guest soloist and we will have a video of her performance up soon.

COMPOSERS EXPRESS THEIR THANKS

We received some lovely feedback from composers of two songs which featured in the concert. US-based Mary McDonald, who wrote the moving Hymn of Peace, sent a message thanking us for including the song in the concert, saying she was honoured that we had chosen it, would love to hear the choir in concert (on video) and sent her blessings on “your continued music performances”.

Melbourne composer Kate Sadler was able to attend the latter stages of the concert to hear us sing her composition (and theme of the program) Sing Like There’s No Tomorrow. She said she was so happy and honoured that we were singing her song and passed on the message of Bravo to Lyn and all the singers. Once again there will be videos to come of these performances within the next few weeks.
