Lotte Betts Dean performs with the Maroondah Singers at Warragul
The Maroodah singers next concert will be in Warragul on Sunday, May 4th. In addition to Dr John Atwell our accompanist and internationally renowned organist who will be performing on the Wurlitzer, we will also have the great pleasure of listening to Lotte Betts Dean who will be performing with us as our guest soloist.
Lotte received her BMus in 2012 from Melbourne University and is currently completing a Fellowship at Australian National Academy of Music . She is a versatile singer who has performed with Ironwood, La Compania, Royal Melbourne Philharmonic and Ensemble Gombert. Her singing has been broadcast on 3MBS & Classic FM & she is featured on La Compania’s most recent album.
Her stage appearances have included principal roles with The Victorian Opera as well as performing as a concert singer. An active contemporary chamber music performer Lotte recently made her North American debut and she has performed at many festivals throughout Victoria. She soon commences a national tour with the Australian Chamber Orchestra in Timeline, & will later appear with the Sydney Chamber Opera.
Lotte won the 2012 Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Aria and Amstead Award and has been runner up in several prestigious competitions. She will soon compete as a semi finalist in the 2014 Mietta Song Competition. As the recipient of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music Acclaim Italian Opera Fellowship, she will travel to Italy to study next month before commencing a Masters at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
