Maroondah Singers have their first concert for the year on May 21, Sunday in our rehearsal venue, the Mountview Uniting Church Hall. This Autumn concert has a broad ranging repertoire of music:- songs from the movied & Broadway musicals ( When you wish upon a Star, If I didn’t have you, The Impossible dream), folk songs ( Gentle Annie, As I hear the Sweet Lark sing), Pop songs (an Abba medley, The Prayer) and many others including some much loved classics. This concert will also see the first appearance of our 2017 memorial scholar, James Emerson, baritone/bass and that will be something special. John Atwell, our accompanist will also do his usual guest artist spots which are always a treat.

Speaking of treats, our afternoon tea is full of them, a bonus at the end of the concert.

One of our choristers, soprano Nadia Migliardi, who often does guest appearances at our concerts is starring in the G & S Society of Victoria’s production of Iolanthe. Many of the choir members (32!) will be in the audience at the final performance on Sunday, 7th May. We are looking forward to it and will have more about that in due course.
