Our first concert for the year is approaching rapidly.

A Wonderful Day Like Today – Concert in the Church, will be featuring the Maroondah Singers and guest artist/accompanist John Atwell who will play the Fincham Organ in addition to accompanying the choir on the piano. There will also be some songs from Michael Petruccelli, one of our 2014 guest soloists.

This concert marks the 125th Anniversary of the opening of the Auburn Uniting Church with our choir being the first in a series of concert celebrations .

An eclectic program will include a bracket of popular numbers from the 40s – Chattanooga Choo Choo, You Make me Feel so Young, and Java Jive. There will also be some sacred numbers such as the 23rd Psalm (Vicar of Dibley version) & Benedictus and some songs to commemorate the anniversary of WW1 – In Flanders Fields, And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda, The Soldier’s Farewell to name a few.
